Industrial strip curtain door kit – built to fit your space

An industrial strip door curtain is one of the simplest ways to separate work areas without slowing down people, forklifts, or pallet jacks. Instead of opening and closing a solid door every time someone passes through, flexible PVC strips part easily and return to position on their own.

The result is a clear opening that helps control temperature, dust, noise, and airflow while keeping daily operations moving. Warehouses, cold storage rooms, and loading docks all rely on industrial plastic curtain strips to get this kind of control without the cost or hassle of a solid door.

At US Cargo Net, our industrial strip door curtains are made to order for your opening. Whether you are outfitting a warehouse, loading dock, cooler, food processing facility, or manufacturing plant, you can configure a kit that matches your traffic level, environment, and door size.

Measuring your door

How to measure your door opening

Before you order, we will need two numbers from you: the door width and the door height. Just measure the actual opening, not the frame around it. Not confident about the exact size? Go a little longer than you think you need. Trimming a strip down is easy once it arrives.

Choosing your industrial plastic curtain strips

We don’t just sell one type of strip. Depending on what your space needs, you can pick industrial plastic curtain strips from Smooth, Ribbed, Welding-grade, Black, or Anti-Static.

Smooth is what most people order. These industrial PVC strip curtains work well for cold storage, loading docks, and doors that see regular foot or forklift traffic.

If your team welds nearby, the welding-grade strips are made to take that heat without warping. And for spaces where static buildup is a concern, the anti-static option handles that without adding extra bulk to the strips.

Industrial PVC curtain strips – width and overlap options

Width-wise, you have got 6″, 8″, 12″ and 16″ to choose from. Most warehouses go with 8 inches since it’s become the standard size across the industry. And it is thick enough to hold up over time, flexible enough to move out of the way when something passes through.

You will also pick an overlap percentage. Higher overlap (up to 100%) works best for freezers where you’re trying to trap cold air inside.

Lower overlap, closer to 25-33%, makes sense if people are walking through the doorway often – less overlap means less resistance when pushing through. Either setup, our industrial PVC curtain strips hold up without falling apart.

Curtain Width Guide

WidthBest For
6″Small openings, light-traffic interior doorways
8″Standard warehouse doors – most common size, handles regular foot and forklift traffic
12″Larger openings, higher-traffic loading docks
16″Wide bay doors, heavy equipment or high-volume traffic areas

Strip Overlap Guide

Overlap %Best For
25–33%Doorways with frequent foot traffic – less resistance when pushing through
50%General-purpose use – balance of airflow control and easy passage
100%Freezers and coolers – maximum seal to trap cold air inside

Why choose industrial strip door curtains?

Here’s why so many warehouses switch to industrial strip door curtains instead of a regular door:

For cold rooms, loading docks, or any doorway that needs a fix, this is usually the simpler and cheaper route.

Warehouses that need to separate storage, packing, and production areas may also benefit from our warehouse divider curtains, which provide larger partition systems for industrial facilities.

FAQs

Can one kit cover two different doors?

Not really, no. It’s better to order separate kits if the doors are different sizes or need different overlap settings. That way each industrial curtain fits the way it should.

Which PVC material should I choose?

It depends on your application. If you need something for general warehouse traffic, cold storage, or a busy loading dock, go with Smooth. If your team welds nearby, pick the Welding-grade strips since they’re built for that kind of heat. For spaces where static is a concern, choose Anti-Static. And if you just want a heavy-duty option for a high-traffic doorway, Ribbed is a solid pick too.
